Practical team work experience with The Phalanx taught me that my strength is needed in whatever I can participate in. Sometimes, just actively participating makes other feel comfortable enough to be involved. I also learnt that when we all pitch in our strengths, tasks are accomplished faster.

Our clan leader, Peter Adeleke, would always send texts reminding us of our daily goals. When I was ill, he called to check up on me, and even prayed for me.

There were SWYK session where team members had to talk on different topics, and I spoke on self esteem. I told personal stories, and they were very realistic to everyone as some sort of hit home. We all had something to hold on to that night. It’s almost impossible to forget.

It has helped me to stop harboring unnecessary things in my device. I would keep apps or tabs with the idea of returning to them because they’re allegedly useful. But, I wouldn’t get back to them in months. They just had to go.
It has also helped me to value those who help me in whatever way they can by sending texts to appreciate their efforts

It has helped me to be assertive with my “filter and dispose” decision. I’ve always known that I have to work on my hesitancies and my attitude of seeking leverage before I can perform tasks. Now, I take every criticism, toss in the funnel with filter paper in it, filter, and dispose of the trash. I’m learning to stay crazy because no one understands and prioritizes my dreams like me who owns the dream.

My reason for joining ROW 4.0 was to sharpen myself back to my A game self, and beyond. I was too drawn into the pity party. But, I wanted to get back up, and do what I do best. I’m currently at the basis of execution for some of my personal projects, I’m excited for the journey ahead.

Sharing my experiences in one the SWYK sessions is one of the most profitable therapy sessions aiding my growth. I talked about how hesitancy played a part in slowing down my plans, how I was able to voice out and had my troubles shared and solved.
